The opening Day Show of the season at Sungold Stadium has been rescheduled to this Sunday and a field of 16 Wingless Sprints have nominated to contest the event.
Three cars will do double duty this weekend, making the long trek back from Moama the previous night. Bradley Warren, Paul Drew and Chris Solomon will all be taking to the road after the conclusion of Saturday nights racing, as they get set to compete at the high banks on Sunday.
Victorian champion Jeff Judd is joined by ultra-fast duo Glenn Watts and Kris Lacey, while the likes of Jye Saunders, Scott Drew, Sean McKeever and Peter Green are also expected to be competitive. Geoff Cook and Ross Jarred both contest the first Warrnambool Day Show of their short careers, while Maurice ‘Hollywood’ Fisher takes to the track in the car more regularly campaigned by son Tim.
First year racers Paul Adams and Justin Barton are set to be joined by local racer Tim Van Ginneken who is expected to make his debut in the Wingless Sprint class.
All cars are to be in the pits by 11am for a midday race start.
